Leaving home

Sadly my partner and I have decided to separate, for a while at least, and I have left the family home to become, for the first time in my life, a lodger. My new house is not very far away, in the depths of the Suffolk countryside, and comes complete with cats, chickens and a rather old and well-used Aga.

Of course, this is not the place to talk about my private life and I’ll simply say that the separation is amicable and that the happiness and wellbeing of our beautiful daughters is our priority.

Since I have access to a well-appointed kitchen and the afore-mentioned Aga, my breadmaking can continue. It’s good to keep busy in uncertain times, and I’ve always found baking a therapeutic activity. I’ve also been doing a lot of work revising the completed chapters of the book, so in the near future I hope to be adding a lot of new information. So don’t go away, friends…
