At the beginning of the year I started working on a new look, planning to return to regular blogging once it was up and running. With everything nearly complete, I took a week out in March to visit a friend in Stockholm, where I hoped to explore the city\u2019s bakeries, amongst other things. Unfortunately, halfway through the week a stomach ulcer, previously undetected, burst and perforated my stomach. Cue agonising pain, emergency surgery in Stockholm\u2019s main hospital, the S\u00f6dersjukhuset, and a week on the ward with so many tubes in me I could hardly move. It set me back a little.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m still a bit sore two months on, but essentially back to health. I\u2019ve been working behind the scenes to get Flour &amp; Water looking the way I want it to but, although there is still plenty to be done, I\u2019ve neglected the all-important content of the site for far too long. In the weeks and months to come I hope to be posting regularly as well as adding a separate section of the site for recipes and updating and expanding the book.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, I can recommend Stockholm as a holiday destination and, should you fall ill while there, the healthcare is excellent\u2026<\/p>\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-3184\" data-postid=\"3184\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-3184 themify_builder themify_builder_front\">\n\t<\/div>\n<!-- \/themify_builder_content --><!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s been nearly a year since I last posted on this blog, for various reasons.
