Carbohydrate

Carbohydrate is the name for a class of chemical compounds that make up most of the living matter on Earth. Along with protein, fat, and vitamins/minerals, it is one of the four basic nutrition groups that we need to stay healthy. Carbohydrate is our main source of energy and it makes up most of the food we eat. Flour is mostly carbohydrate in the form of starch.
